Vitamin C Tablets

【Indications】(1) For prevention and treatment of scurvy or as part of adjuvant therapy for various acute and chronic infectious diseases, purpura, etc. Patients with Keshan disease can be given large amounts of this product when they are in cardiogenic shock. (2) For treatment of chronic iron poisoning (vitamin C increases the excretion of iron in the presence of deferoxamine). (3) For effective treatment of idiopathic methemoglobinemia. (4) For treatment of liver cirrhosis, acute hepatitis and liver damage from chronic arsenic, mercury, lead and benzene poisoning.

【Administration and Dosage】Oral administration. For adults. (1) As a dietary supplement: 50-100mg per day. (2) For chronic dialysis patients: 100-200mg per day. (3) Lack of vitamin C: 3 times daily (100-200mg each time) for at least 2 weeks. For children: 100-300mg daily for at least two weeks. (4) Acidified urine: 4-12g per day orally in divided doses every 4 hours. (5) Idiopathic methemoglobinemia: 300-600mg daily in divided doses.
