【Functions and Indication】Clear heat and resolve toxin, disperse swelling and dispel stasis. For treatment of lung heat cough, sore swollen throat, dysentery, rib-side pain, heat strangury; and burns/scalds and skin ulcers (in external application). 【Administration and Dosage】15-60g. Proper amount for external use: decoct it with water and apply that externally.

In modern times it is used to fight bacteria and inflammation and clear internal heat.
