Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has made new arrangements for poverty alleviation, sounding the advance in the fight against poverty. Remarkable achievements have been made in poverty alleviation.
On the third anniversary of General Secretary Xi's “2.26” important address and the second anniversary of the release and implementation of the Outline of the Plan for Coordinated Development for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology (BJEIT) on February 23 and 24 visited Fuping county in Hebei together with 15 Beijing companies for targeted poverty alleviation through industrial connection, in a bid to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi's instructions relating to poverty alleviation and development as well as the spirit of the Central Poverty Alleviation and Development Work Conference.
This trip was jointly organized by the BJEIT, the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province and the Baoding municipal government.
Wang Xuejun, deputy head of the BJEIT, conducted a field survey at Fudong Industrial Park alongside staff at the BJEIT’s industrial restructuring division, urban industry division, smart manufacturing and equipment industry division, biological and pharmaceutical industry division and software and information service division, with cordial and friendly communication observed between the two sides. Both sides agreed that the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is a golden opportunity for poverty alleviation; as an old revolutionary area, Fuping needs to carry on the revolutionary spirit to lift people out of poverty and towards prosperity.
The trip was part of a larger effort toward targeted poverty alleviation.
Previously, the BJEIT was in close contact with the Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province to work out a tight survey schedule and a detailed connection plan. Based on Fuping’s industrial positioning and resource advantage, the BJEIT organized companies that fit with the direction of Fuping’s industrial development such as Linlin Solar, Yiqing Group, Chunfeng Pharmaceutical, Dongxingtang, Yushiyuan and Liuhefang to visit there for industrial connection.
This was a heart-warming poverty alleviation tour. Participating companies said that they are deeply moved and inspired by the fighting spirit of people in Fuping during revolution and war, and will prioritize the development of Fuping when formulating their future industrial plans.
Many Beijing companies such as Chunfeng Pharmaceutical, Kaida Hengye, UNONG, Linlin Solar, Yinghoude gave Fuping high marks for the investment opportunities and the business environment and expressed an intention to invest there.
